Sustainable Business Management and Leadership (SBML)
As part of the DIGO initiative, NTHMC is implementing the Sustainable Business Management and Leadership (SBML) program through a Train the Trainer (TTT) model. The program is designed to strengthen the knowledge, teaching capacity, and leadership competencies of hospitality educators and industry professionals.
The SBML curriculum equips participants with practical knowledge and internationally recognized approaches to sustainable business management, responsible tourism, environmental stewardship, leadership, and innovation in the hospitality sector. The program encourages participants to integrate sustainability principles into hospitality operations, education, and organizational decision-making.
Building Green Skills for the Hospitality Industry
The partnership also supports the delivery of Green Skills in Jobs in Hospitality (GSJH) training for operational staff working in accommodation establishments within Pokhara Metropolitan City. These industry-focused training programs develop practical competencies in sustainable hospitality operations, resource efficiency, environmental management, customer service excellence, and responsible workplace practices.
Together, the SBML and GSJH programs contribute to developing a highly skilled workforce prepared to meet the evolving demands of sustainable tourism and hospitality.

A key objective of the partnership is to position Nepal Tourism and Hotel Management College (NTHMC) as a Centre of Excellence for tourism and hospitality education, professional training, applied research, and innovation in Nepal. Through faculty development, curriculum enhancement, industry collaboration, and internationally aligned training programs, NTHMC continues to contribute to the transformation of Nepal's tourism and hospitality sector.
